Easy display with just pins or hooks 📌

Without a frame, a Paint Yours canvas weighs about 340g (for a 50cm × 40cm canvas), so you can easily hang it with just pins or hooks.

Use push pins or picture hooks with a hook to hang the canvas on. You can find them at 100-yen shops or home improvement stores.

If you don't want to make holes in the wall, there are also adhesive hooks that stick to the wall. Check the load capacity, and also check the compatible wall surfaces on the package, as some won't stick to certain types of wallpaper or may damage it when removed.

The canvas sits neatly flush against the wall, so displaying it as is, without a frame, is a popular style too 🖼️

Hang it with a cord

If you want the canvas held securely, or if you're concerned about earthquakes, we recommend hanging it with a cord stretched across the back. A cord also makes it easier to fine-tune the position.

To attach a cord to the wooden frame of the canvas, you'll need hardware called D-ring hangers (or screw eyes). These are also available at 100-yen shops and home improvement stores.

What you'll need

• 2 D-ring hangers
• Cord (plastic string, twine, etc.)
• Hooks suited to your wall material, such as picture hooks

How to hang it

1. Attach a D-ring hanger to each side of the wooden frame on the back of the canvas, at the same height. Aim for about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way down from the top.
2. Thread the cord through both hangers and tie it securely, leaving a little slack.
3. Hang the center of the cord on the hook, then step back to check the angle and slide it left or right until it's level.

Display it on a wall shelf

If your room has a wall shelf, you can rest your canvas on top of it. Since you don't need to put pins directly into the wall, it's an easy option for rented homes too.

If you don't have a wall shelf, you can also install one.

Simply stand it on a shelf or the floor 🌿

If you don't want to make holes in the wall, try simply standing it up. A canvas with some depth has plenty of presence on its own, even without a frame or easel.
